Kick-Off and Public Workshop on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the High School Cafeteria

What do we want Wilton to be?

The Wilton Planning and Zoning Commission, together with a Joint Working Group of town board representatives and experts from Milone and MacBroom, Inc., will be looking to the community to help answer that question as we embark on updating Wilton’s Plan of Conservation and Development. This comprehensive plan defines the community’s long-term vision and offers goals and objectives on land use, growth, conservation and community investments to guide local decision making and policy over the next decade. The Commission wants to hear from the community throughout this critical planning process, which begins now and is expected to conclude in spring 2019.

Please join us at 7:00 p.m. on February 8, 2018, at the High School Cafeteria for a Kick-Off and Public Workshop that will outline the planning and public engagement process and provide an opportunity for participants to begin sharing their vision for the future of Wilton.

Following the Kick-Off meeting, the Commission will hold several monthly Public Workshops and online survey exercises to evaluate community and strategic planning issues, such as housing, Route 7 and transportation, community facilities and infrastructure and sustainability, among others. The workshop schedule and format will be discussed at the Kick-Off meeting and will be posted on the Plan of Conservation and Development website at www.wilton2029.com.
